Digersånger

War. War never changes. The weak are sacrificed at the altar of strength and wanton greed rules over reason. As the war swept across Scandinavia, the inhabitants of the island of Öland were robbed and enslaved. They tried to build something better, something stronger, something lasting, but all attempts were met with little else but violence. And so they came to the conclusion that the only way to not remain victims was to become agressors. To become strong and free. To take back all that the mainland lowlifes had taken from them. To become pirates.

Blodsband Reloaded is a LARP in a futuristic post-apocalyptic setting. The LARP borrows from many similar settings, but leans perhaps most heavily into the Fallout flavour. The pirates from Digerhamn (Port Dire), previously Degerhamn (Port Dough), are a bit silly and cliché but have found a permanent place in the small town of Stråssa where the LARP takes place.

This year I listened to sea shanties to pep myself and relized that simply swapping out the text could be a fun way to make some music for the pirates. I had the equipment to record myself singing and doing it a couple of times over to make some harmonies wouldn’t be too hard, right? That’s how it started. My first release.
